The Great Temple of Petra is a huge archaeological complex located south of Colonnade Street in Petra. It covers an area of about 7,560 square meters. The complex was probably completed in the early first century AD, under the rule of the Nabatean King Aretas IV, as the architectural and sculptural details indicate.
