Activity Description | Madaba is an ancient town in Jordan, southwest of the capital Amman. It’s known for its 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. The Madaba Archaeological Park preserves the mosaic-rich Church of the Virgin Mary Northwest, the biblical hill of Mount Nebo overlooks the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. we will go to view the Jordan Valley from the famous Mount Nebo. Then we will continue our trip down to the capital of the Nabateans Petra. Mount Nebo is an elevated ridge of the Abarim in Jordan, approximately 710 metres above sea level. It is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. Full visiting Jordan's Jewel "Petra" a city fully carved in stones. Upon arrival, you will take a horse back ride through the Siq (Own Expense), the only access to this city. Depart to the Valley of the moon, which was known as "Lawrence of Arabia land" is a uniquely-shaped massive mountain that rose among the rosy red sand of the desert with towering cliffs of various brownish, reddish and golden colors. After having your breakfast, you will be returning to Amman through Dead Sea way, enjoying the view of the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea is known for the concentration of salt and minerals which makes it a therapeutic as well as a unique swimming experience not to be missed. Enjoy taking some photos then will be drove to your location in Amman. |
