Activity Description | During around 8h Jeep tour in the UNESCO Protected Area in Wadi Rum, we will visit the places you can't miss in the Moon Valley. We will meet you at the Rest House, in Wadi Rum Village and we will start the tour in our 4x4 Jeep. Nabatean temple Once we meet in Wadi Rum Village, we will drive to tour first stop, the Nabatean temple. The temple was build around the first century BC. Nabateans were praising their goddess while they doing a stop in Wadi Rum. Lawrence Spring The next spot will be the Lawrence Spring. The Spring was named in honor of Lawrence of Arabia. You will be able to see camels, our traditional animal of the desert, and you can also climb the mountain and see the spring. Red Sand Dune Then we will drive you to a Red Sand Dune. Once you climb to the top, you have a beautiful view of the desert. Khazali Canyon Our traditional next place to visit is Khazali Canyon. Jebel Khazali is located in the center of Wadi Rum Protected Area. It has a fisure of 100m length and its walls are covered with human petroglyphs as well as Nabatean, Thamudic and Islamic inscriptions. Small Rock Bridge And then we will drive to the Small Rock Bridge, where you will hike a little mountain where you will be able to cross the Little Bridge on the top and see the desert. Lawrence’s House Now is time to visit Lawrence’s House, where you will see the cave he was living in during his Wadi Rum stay. Lunch time We will set a fire in a place in the desert and your Bedouin guide will prepare the food for you. Mushroom Rock After lunch time we start with the first stop, the Mushroom Rock. We call this as a miracle of nature or a miracle of the Creator over centuries of wind and rains. Burdah Muntain Burdah Mountain will be the next spot, where you will se from the feet the Rock Bridge that comprises the three largest arches in Wadi Rum. Its height and its location offer one of the most incredible sunsets you have ever experienced. Red Canyon We will continue driving to the Red Canyon and Sand dune. This is a beautiful and relaxing walk. We will leave you in one side of the Canyon and will see you on the other side, where you will be able to do sand boarding in a red sand dune. Um Frouth Rock Bridge The last stop of the day will be Um Frouth Rock Bridge. This is one of the highlights of Wadi Rum. You will climb a rock and walk through this unique Rock Bridge. This will be the last activity of the day before watching the sundown. Sunset in Wadi Rum Our last stop of the day before going to the camp, the cave or under the stars is the sundown, one of the most beautiful views of the desert. |
